Dutch Successes in the Final Stage of the Tuareg Rallye 2025

The sixth and final stage of the Tuareg Rallye brought the competitors to the finish line in Erfoud. After six intense days filled with sand, fesh-fesh, broken engines, and tricky navigation, the remaining participants earned their well-deserved finish.

Team Broomans secures podium finish

In the car category, Team Broomans ended their rally in style. With a strong second place in the final stage, which featured plenty of challenging dunes, they managed to secure a spot on the overall podium. In the end, they finished third overall among the cars. The team responded enthusiastically:

“A long stage with a lot of dunes. Very tough for the car (the rally is designed for SSVs), but we made it. It took a while for the results to come in, but we’re on the podium, 3rd overall!”

Robert van Pelt takes fourth overall on the bikes

In the bike category, the final stage was mainly about consolidation. Robert van Pelt, who claimed two stage wins earlier in the week, finished the rally in fourth place overall. His rally had it all: mechanical failures, a broken fuel tank, a seized engine, but also stage victories and strong dune performances. “It’s a wrap! 4th place overall, 2 stage wins, 1 broken tank, 1 broken Honda, 1 working KTM, and lots of great days!” said Van Pelt.

His father, Rob van Pelt, followed not far behind and finished seventh overall, putting both father and son in the top 10.

Strong performances by De Graaff and Van Olst

Wouter de Graaff also had a strong rally, finishing as the best Dutch rider outside of the Van Pelts. He secured third place in the final stage and third place overall in the bike classification. He held off teammate Bart van Olst, who finished sixth overall. Martijn van der Laan completed the rally in 11th place, while Robert van Olst secured 15th.

Lennart Eikelboom, Richard Wijntjes, Wil Wouters, Jan van den Hout, and Jan van Veen also successfully finished the rally, joining the list of 2025 Tuareg Rallye finishers after six days of fierce competition.

Podium for Keppens in the SSV Category

In the SSV category, Keppens / Keppens secured a respectable fourth place overall after a consistent performance throughout the week. Lolkema / Peters completed the rally solidly, finishing 12th. They, too, can look back with satisfaction on a tough but successful edition.

Team van der Valk reaches the finish

In the 4×4 Expert class, Team van der Valk fought their way to the finish despite a challenging week. They arrived in Erfoud after the final stage and concluded the rally in ninth place in their class.

Mission accomplished

The Tuareg Rallye 2025 proved to be tough, challenging, and sometimes merciless. Yet, despite retirements and setbacks, many Dutch teams managed to reach the finish and achieve impressive results. With podium finishes for Team Broomans and Keppens, and remarkable top-5 rankings for Robert van Pelt and Wouter de Graaff in the bike category, the Dutch competitors can look back proudly on a successful edition.
