The Africa Eco Race returns in January 2027 for its eighteenth edition. From January 24 to February 6, the rally will once again travel from Tangier through Morocco, Mauritania, and Senegal to the finish in Dakar. The organisation has now released the entry fees for 2027. Registrations open on May 15. New to this edition is a specific category structure that better reflects the participating vehicles.
Within the motorcycle category, a distinction will now be made between single-cylinder and multi-cylinder bikes. Entry with a single-cylinder costs €14,400; for a multi-cylinder, that figure rises to €14,800. Both prices include tracking, a tablet, and fuel during the race. The Quad category is priced at €14,800 and likewise includes tracking, a tablet, and fuel.
The SSV category features two classes: the SSV 80L comes in at €23,400 and the SSV 100L at €24,400, both including crew and vehicle, tracking, a tablet and fuel.
The Car category is priced at €21,400. A Truck comes to €28,900 in total. The Historic category has separate fees: a historic car with crew costs €15,800, a historic truck costs €16,500. To ensure a good level of support and safety, the number of participants in the Raid category is limited to 20 motorcycles and 20 cars.
