Rallye Breslau overall victory for De Ruiter, Van den Brink and Van Groningen

The Rallye Breslau 2026 has reached its conclusion. The final day featured two long stages, both over the same roughly 87-kilometre route through the sandy terrain around Żagań but run in the opposite direction to Thursday, with a few route adjustments and plenty of tricky navigation points.

For the Dutch camp it was a fantastic finish. Mitchel van den Brink and Nick van Drie won not only the SSV class but also the entire general classification, Berend de Ruiter took overall victory in the Enduro category, and the Dust Warriors ended the rally as the fastest truck. Below is the overview by category.

De Ruiter overall Enduro winner, Krysiak fastest ATV

Among the motorcycles, Berend de Ruiter (Road To Rally, Husqvarna FE 450) was fastest on both of today’s stages and finishes the rally as winner of the Enduro class. Jeremy Knuiman (Team Knuiman, KTM EXC 450) was second on SS7 and took the stage win on the closing SS8, ending the Enduro class in second place. Knuiman looked back on a strong final day, with a fast stage and a few tricky navigation points, and noted that as the first starter on SS7 he even missed a waypoint but still finished second again: “A good day, and a little bit of luck.”

Also finishing in the Enduro class were Michael Schuttel, Dyon van Wieringen, Hille Dalstra, Floris Cuperus, Michel Langmuur, Ruben van der Vlis, Julian den Haan, Harry Korte and Maarten Fikke. Imar Verdouw did not start SS7, and Joeri de Haar finished the rally at the bottom of the standings.

Among the ATVs, overall victory went to Poland’s Adam Krysiak. The best-placed Dutchman in this class was Mark Plat (JMP Racing), with Jordy Verkleij (VVK Racing) as the second Dutch quad rider.

Final duel between Van den Brink/Van Drie and Van Gerven/Meijer

The SSV class produced the finest finale of the rally. Jan van Gerven and Rudolf Meijer (Triple G Racing) were fastest on SS8, taking their third stage win of the week after earlier victories on SS5 and SS7. On SS7 it was Mitchel van den Brink and Nick van Drie (Eurol Rallysport) who set the fastest time. Due to a substantial time loss on Thursday, however, Van Gerven and Meijer came nowhere near the day’s win in the general classification and finish 51st.

Van den Brink and Van Drie won both the SSV class and the entire general classification of the Rallye Breslau 2026, with Dalius Olechnavicius and Romualdas Karuzis (Specialist Racing Team) in second. Van den Brink said the entry was mainly about enjoyment and about developing Nick van Drie as a navigator, who improved every day. “That pushed us to ride faster, and so we were able to have a nice bit of a fight with the competition. At one point the plan was simply to gain a few minutes each day, stay out of trouble, and that worked out.” For Van Drie it was his very first rally, and an immediate win. Van den Brink: “Despite driving a less powerful little car, we still managed to beat the R class. We’re very happy with that.”

Further down the SSV class, many Dutch names were listed too: Harrie Renders/Theo van de Looy, Arjan Donders/Edwin Vloemans, Arjan Ruitenbeek/Dirk-Jan Hooijer (who picked up a hefty time penalty on SS8 after several infringements), Harrie van Empel/Nick van Geloven, Alexander Lantink/Alexander Gouw, Berry Swinkels/Stefan van Ras, Ruud Bellemakers/Martijn Daas, Rik Meeuwsen/Simon Hikspoors, Jeroen van Kasteren/Rik Vaessen and Joey van den Eng/Andy van den Broek. Max van Empel and Sem van Empel did not start SS7, as did Rob van Horssen and Carlo Spreeuwenberg (Roca Rally Team).

Povilaitis takes the win, Jasper and Laan third

In the Car Open class, Herman Jasper and Mark Laan (Dutch Off Road Rally Team, Redlined VK50) won the morning stage SS7, while Wutkowski/Goleniewski (POL) set the fastest time on SS8. In the general classification, the class victory goes to Mindaugas Povilaitis and Slavomir Volkov (Constra Acinus, Toyota Hilux), with Wutkowski/Goleniewski second and Jasper/Laan third. Laan was proud of the third place: “Incredibly proud of the way Herman drove, so tight and consistent. With this field of drivers, this was the best achievable.”

Also finishing in the Car Open class were Richard Timmerman/Johan Senders, Twan van den Langenberg/Paige Timmerman, Kala Senders/Yvet Senders, Remco de Jong/Wesley de Jong, Stefan Goverts/Stefan Plaggenmarsch, Jenne Jasper/Marijn Verbeek, Harry Oosting/Mika Kreeft, Casper van den Bogaert/Mark van den Hoek, Sander Goudbeek/Irma Goudbeek and Jan Oosting/Niels den Heijer. Stijn van Erp and Lucas van Geest missed the time cut on SS7 but still finished the rally. In the Car Limited class, only Britons Dan Upton and Neil Rogers completed the rally; Bart Voermans and Chris Galler (Korte Broek Racing) did not start SS7.

Another double stage win for the Dust Warriors

The Dust Warriors, the trio of William, Wesley and Jacco van Groningen (Iveco Powerstar), won both SS7 and SS8 and end the rally as winners of the Truck class and ninth in the general classification, the best placing of all four-wheeled entries on the final day. Behind Germany’s Sueptitz Motorsport in second come two more Dutch trucks: Hans van der Sanden, Luc Jansen and Johan Theuws (FVDS Rally Team) in third and Jasper Fiers, Giel de Backer and Sjors van Nunen (also FVDS Rally Team) fourth in the class. William van de Krol, Evert van Veldhuizen and Rens Koudijs (Rallyteam van de Krol) also reached the finish.

Truck Team Müller, with Ralph Müller, Geert Bekkering and Roy Korenromp, was fully recovered after Thursday’s electrical problem. The team reported working late into the evening and described how the DAF, with its 850 hp, once again powered through the tank tracks “like an elephant.” The team ends the rally in last place in the Truck class, but reached the finish after the setback.

A successful week for the Netherlands

With the overall victory of Van den Brink and Van Drie in the general classification, the class win of De Ruiter in the Enduro category and the truck triumph of the Dust Warriors, the Dutch bivouac looks back on an excellent Rallye Breslau 2026.
